The History of Film.

The creation of cinema is can not be deemed as a single mans effort. However, one of the pioneers of cinema were the Lumière brothers. Auguste Marie Louis Nicolas Lumière and Louis Jean Lumière were French manufacturers of photography equipment, best known for their Cinématographe motion picture system and the short films they produced between 1895 and 1905, which places them among the earliest filmmakers.

They created a film titled “Workers leaving the Lumière Factory” in 1895 , which is believed to be the first motion capture ever. Soon enough they opened their first film theatre to the public, where they showcased their earliest films, most of them being about everyday work in French streets, and even short comedies. They successfully paved the way to one of the greatest ways of entertainment we know today.

Ever since then the world of cinema grew exponentially with the advancement in technologies. From black and white to colored footage, analogue to digital, aspect ratio, resolution, quality, sound etc. In this modern day and age cinema still continues to evolve with technologies like computer generated imagery or better known as CGI.
